There are 10 working spots and unlimited observer spots.

If you have a working spot, Theresa will call on you to join with either audio or video (your choice)  so that you can explain your issue and work with her to solve it.

Observers will be able to ask questions or give suggestions about the issue being discussed. If Theresa solves all 10 of the working spot issues, then she may call on additional people.

There are 2 ways to participate in this event:

1) Choose a working spot (limit 10) and bring any teaching/coaching issue that you're facing or any questions about how to apply TAGteach with your learners. Theresa will work through it with you in real time to help you break down the skill/behavior, find a starting point and figure out how to reduce your words and improve your communcation for optimal learner success. You will need to be willing to work on camera and allow us to record and publish the session in order to take one of the working spots.

2) Choose an observer spot and watch Theresa in action. You will be welcome to ask questions or give your own suggestions. You may be called on to volunteer for role play as a learner if you wish.

This will be an interactive session and Theresa will welcome participation from everyone who wants to join in.

NOTE: this is a 1.5 hour session and will give you lots of opportunity to interact with Theresa and fellow participants

•  How to break a sticky teaching problem into small manageable pieces

•  How to figure out where to start so that your learner is sure to succeed

•  How to create a clear, precise learning goal and to articulate it to your learner

•  How to raise criteria and move your learner along by building on success after success

This will be recorded and all registrants will have access to the recording.

After more than 30 years as a national level gymnastics coach, Theresa was determined to find a way to speed up skill acquisition for her athletes while simultaneously decreasing stress and fear in the learning environment. Her search for behaviorally sound techniques, clean instructions, and the proper timing of feedback and reinforcement, led to the development of the TAGteach methodology along with partners Joan Orr, Karen Pryor and Beth Wheeler.
