A New Perspective
TAGteach involves looking at things from a new perspective and using creative thinking to help learners succeed.
Before we discuss the exact nature of the TAGteach new perspective, let’s take a moment to have fun with your visual perspective.
Take a look at the picture below. What do you see? Look a bit longer. Do you see anything else?
Some people see a duck and others see a bunny. Depending on their perspective, different people can look at the same thing and see something completely different.
Take a look at this jolly sailor. What do you think you would see if you turned the page upside down?
Now he is a white collared pastor. The image is identical, all we have done is look at it from a new perspective.
Here’s a picture of a frog on a log. But could it be something else? Turn the page ¼ turn to the left and see.
Now it’s a horse looking out of the stable.
Turn the Page a Quarter Turn!
While you’re considering the information that we present in this course and thinking about how to apply the TAGteach approach to your own teaching, take the time to turn the page ¼ turn and see how you might look at things differently. We may present examples that don’t directly apply to your teaching scenarios, but you can always turn the page 1/4 turn and find a way to see how you can apply the principles that we illustrate.
