Traditional Perspective

Here are the steps that most of us recognize as the traditional teaching process:

1. Give instructions and show the learner what to do.

2. Let them try.

3. Look for the things the learner is doing wrong.

4. Tell the learner what is wrong.

5. Emphasize not to do that wrong thing again.

This cartoon illustrates the traditional perspective that we may have experienced since childhood. No wonder it is so well ingrained!
