TAGteach Causes a Change in Thinking

We transition from Emotion to Behavior to Observation.

Often, as parents, we tend to talk about how we think our child feels, and we talk about our emotional reactions in response.

With TAGteach, we will slowly change what we think about. We will stop thinking in terms of emotions and feelings about our children’s behavior and our own situation.

We will start thinking about what physical movements our child is making: what is he doing with his body?

We will look closely at his movements.

We will understand that movements are behavior. Then we will become observers of those movements.

This transition is an important part of the TAGteach learning process. When you are finsished this course we hope that you will be looking at your child and thinking about behavior without emotion and that you will become a good observer of that behavior.
