Factors in Training Situation

There are three factors that are important in any training situation:

  1. The teacher
  2. The learner
  3. The environment

We just wanted to highlight those on the observations we listed from the discussion of this video.

It’s interesting to note that almost all our observations were related to the teacher.

The tag sound itself can be considered as part of the environment. She has a very easy to understand environment. There is an absence of talk and absence  of confusing verbal instructions in the environment.

The point we wanted to make with this is that when we watch a teaching session we tend to focus our observations on the teacher, when of course, the learner and the environment are also crucial factors.

This observation that the preponderance of comments were about the teacher, shows us that we need to pay better attention to all three factors.

We suggest that you watch teaching videos three times if you really want to see what’s going on and what factors are at play. Watch once and focus on the teacher, watch again and focus on the learner and watch a third time and focus on the environment
