Antecedent Arrangement – learner in control
Learners are generally less stressed and more motivated when they have choice and control. Some ways you can offer them that on the antecedent side include:
- What to name the tag point
- What the next tag point will be
- Who will be the tagger
- Where to work
- What to work on
- Who to work with
- What props/games/toys etc to use
- How many repetitions to do
- Whether to work on anything at all
- Anything that you can think of to give them a choice
