Tag Points for Errands

Many times we have to run errands after school, so here are tag points to reinforce.

  • Coat On
  • Walks to car (reinforce for Foot on Smiley Faces)
  • Gets in car
  • Buckles seat belt
  • Quiet Mouth/Appropriate Vocalization in Car
  • Plays with Toys in Car
  • Looks Out Window
  • Steps Out of Car

Setting up a consistent routine, and teaching that routine to your child with lots of positive reinforcement, will help your child feel supported and safe. He will know what to expect. He knows that as soon as he steps off the bus he will get tags, treats, praise and attention from Mom or Dad.

This will help set the stage for a pleasant afternoon and evening.
