Skill Example: Swinging
In this video, watch Lear try his best to do the tag points.
The tag points are:
- Lean back
- Straight legs
- Lean forward
At one point he asks “what’s the next tag point”. He is fully engaged with his learning.
He is getting Skittles after each tag, but you can see that he is starting to have fun making the swing move. Soon he won’t need any external reinforcement, because his skill will increase to the point that the activity of swinging will become reinforcing on its own.
This is whole goal of TAGteach: to increase skills to the point that the activity itself and the feeling of success becomes its own reinforcer.
Watch the video as many times as you wish and write down your observations to compare with those of the webinar attendees.
