Here the cat appears and wants to play. This distracts Lear and he starts talking about the cat.
Instead of trying to force or cajole him into continuing with the task at hand, we let him take a break to do something he wants.
In fact we suggest the break and encourage him to do something that he wants to do.
This helps build his trust and builds a great relationship with us and adds to the fun of participating in teaching sessions with us.
